First Decorations Arrive for Final DinoLand U.S.A. Christmas Celebration

On our visit to Disney’s Animal Kingdom today, October 26, we discovered that Christmas lights have started to go up in DinoLand U.S.A., as the land prepares for its final holiday celebration.

DinoLand U.S.A. is preparing to celebrate its final Christmas season, as many attractions are scheduled to close in early 2025 to make way for Pueblo Esperanza.

Today, we discovered the first Christmas decorations in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, as Christmas lights have been added to the Brontosaurus fossil in the soon-to-be-extinct land.

Lights stretch all around the fossil above the “Donald’s Dino-Bash” sign. Last year, a red Santa hat and beard were also added to the fossil. We didn’t spot those on our visit, but perhaps they will be added in the coming days.

A row of bats hanging upside down from wires and a metal bar, surrounded by trees and a clear sky, evoke the whimsical charm of Dinoland U.S.A., reminiscent of creative Christmas decorations.

The tail of the dinosaur, which is held up by an elaborate system of pulleys, is also completely wrapped in Christmas lights.

This year at DinoLand U.S.A., guests can meet Santa Claus at Restaurantosaurus during the all-new 75th Annual Dino Institute Holiday Party. Santa will be greeting guests on the patio of Restaurantosaurus from November 12 through December 24.

Guests visiting Disney’s Animal Kingdom during the holiday season can also pick up Merry Menagerie merchandise, try out some tasty holiday treats, and experience a seasonal version of Tree of Life Awakenings after dark.
