After 15 years as a staple of Universal Orlando Resort Holidays, it appears that Mannheim Steamroller will not perform during this year’s celebrations.

Mannheim Steamroller Reportedly Not Returning to Universal Orlando

In response to a question about Mannheim Steamroller in the Universal Orlando Annual Passholder Facebook group, Universal said:

“We’re constantly evaluating our entertainment experiences and have decided to forego offering evening performances at the Music Plaza Stage in Universal Studios Florida as part of this year’s Holidays celebration.”

Mannheim Steamroller is a neoclassical new-age ensemble founded by Chip Davis in 1974. Known in particular for their Christmas music, the group specially composed music for “Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular,” which will return to Universal Islands of Adventure. They have performed at Universal Orlando Resort during the holidays since 2008.

As with all holiday entertainment offerings, this is subject to change and Universal could choose to later schedule the group for non-nighttime performances during the festive season.
