Disney Parks donated two Walt Disney World ride vehicles to the National Roller Coaster Museum and Archives (NRCMA).

Disney Ride Vehicles Donated to NRCMA

Disney donated a car from Snow White’s Scary Adventures at Magic Kingdom. The car resembles a long wood mine cart with “Dopey” carved on the front. The Magic Kingdom version of Snow White’s Scary Adventures, built by Arrow Development, permanently closed in 2012, although versions of it still exist at other Disney Parks. The Disneyland version saw a major overhaul in 2021, becoming Snow White’s Enchanted Wish. At Tokyo Disneyland, the ride is known as Snow White’s Adventures. At Disneyland Paris, it is Blanche Neige et les Sept Nains: L’Attraction (Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs: The Attraction).

Disney also donated a Mystic Rides bumper car from Buzz Lightyear’s AstroBlaster, a DisneyQuest attraction. This vehicles were designed to suck up foam balls from the attraction’s surface. Guests could then shoot them out of cannons at other vehicles. The ride closed with DisneyQuest in 2017.

“Our partnership with Disney parks has been incredible over the last several years. We started with a Matterhorn vehicle celebrating the birth of the modern steel roller coaster,” Jeff Novotny, NRCMA chairman said.  “With this Snow White vehicle and unique Astro Blaster car, the museum collection is expanding assets that showcase the importance of storytelling in the theme park industry.” 

Disney donated the Matterhorn Bobsleds vehicle in 2018.

The NRCMA was founded in 2009. Located in Plainview, Texas, the museum is not open continually but hosts special events throughout the year during which guests can view their roller coaster collection.
