Dr. Strange Makes Surprise Appearance at Disney Jollywood Nights

Marvel’s Dr. Strange has made a surprise appearance during the first night of Disney Jollywood Nights at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Dr. Strange Sighting

Amidst a dimly lit street, a person in costume channels the enchanting charm of Dr. Strange, captivating children while others eagerly snap photos. It feels like a scene straight out of Disney's magical Jollywood Nights.
Dressed in a dark red and blue costume, the individual strikes a pose, making mystical gestures reminiscent of Dr. Strange, as someone captures the moment on their smartphone during Disney Jollywood Nights.

We spotted the Sorcerer Supreme roaming Grand Avenue. Cast Members discouraged guests from creating a line, allowing the character to walk around and take pictures with guests as he pleased.

Dr. Strange wasn’t among the advertised character meet and greets planned for Jollywood, although Disney did promise “more” than they announced.

Marvel characters, particularly Avengers, are rare at Walt Disney World due to an agreement with Universal that allows the rival theme park to maintain Marvel Super Hero Island without Disney offering competing experiences nearby. Guardians of the Galaxy are generally the only characters Walt Disney World can use, as characters who are part of the Avengers, X-Men, or Fantastic Four families are part of the deal with Universal. Dr. Strange briefly had a Hollywood Studios meet and greet in 2016.
