Tokyo Disney Resort Celebrating Duffy & Friends 20th Anniversary With Year-Long Event

Tokyo Disney Resort will celebrate 20 years of Duffy and his friends with a year-long special event beginning in April.

Duffy and Friends 20th: Colorful Happiness

“Duffy and Friends 20th: Colorful Happiness” will run from April 8, 2025, through March 19, 2026, at Tokyo DisneySea. The special event will include colorful decorations, merchandise, themed menu items, character meet and greets, and more. The tagline on the event graphic reads, “When together, rainbows of hope and friendship shine.”

Disney first introduced Duffy at Walt Disney World in 2022 but the bear wasn’t successful in America so Oriental Land Company (OLC) adopted him for Tokyo Disney Resort. Duffy was introduced overseas in 2005, hence OLC celebrating the 20th anniversary in 2025.

In the years since Duffy’s friends have been introduced at Tokyo Disney Resort and other international parks. These include ShellieMay, Gelatoni, StellaLou, CookieAnn, ‘Olu Mel, and LinaBell. International parks have also hosted various Duffy & Friends shows.

Before the 20th anniversary celebration, Tokyo Disney Resort will celebrate Duffy & Friends: Wonderful Kitchen from January 15 through March 31, 2025. This event will mark the first meet and greet appearances by CookieAnn and LinaBell at Tokyo DisneySea.
