REVIEW: We Are Literally BEGGING Disney To Make This CHEESE Croissant a Permanent Menu Item

Some new snacks from a galaxy far, far away have made their way to Disneyland!

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland

Life Day in Star Wars lore is a Wookie holiday that has returned to Galaxy’s Edge at the Disneyland Resort and has brought with it décor, special merch, and exclusive eats. We’re back this year to try new and returning offerings and to let you know if they’re worth hopping in your speeder and traveling lightspeed to Disneyland!

Last year, we tried three different Life Day snacks and were super happy with everything we ate. This year, we tried the Blue Milk with Golden Lichen Paddy Frog Eggs, Life Day Cheese Branch with Kat Saka’s Secret Sauce, Kashyyyk Cake, and Millaflower Toast!

Smuggler’s Run

First up, we tried the Blue Milk with Golden Lichen Paddy Frog Eggs at Milk Stand for $9.49.

Milk Stand Menu

This Blue Milk is served with strawberry puree and golden lychee popping spheres.

On first sip, this tasted like regular Blue Milk but after a quick stir, we got a bit of a vanilla flavor. We recommend mixing the puree off the side of the cup to really maximize that fresh and sweet strawberry flavor. As for the popping spheres, ours were a bit floral in flavor. The drink is very refreshing, but the size isn’t huge, and, for nearly $10, this may be a one-time-only purchase.

Up next, we grabbed the Life Day Cheese Branch with Kat Saka’s Secret Sauce at Kat Saka’s Kettle for $7.99. We tried this snack last year and were HUGE fans!

Life Day Cheese Branch with Kat Saka’s Secret Sauce

Once again, this snack delivered. This treat is made with croissant dough mixed with cream cheese, parmesan, and cheddar with a spicy alfredo dipping sauce on the side. Our bread was nice and flaky with a sharp cheddar flavor. The sauce didn’t add much and wasn’t too spicy, but it did add to the overall cheesiness while providing some garlic flavor.

Once again, we love this snack and can’t recommend it enough! We definitely wish it was a permanent item on the menu.

YUM

Next, we headed over to Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo to try the Kashyyyk Cake for $7.99.

Kashyyyk Cake

Another returning dish, this cake is made with a brownie base, raspberry sauce, tiramisu, and dark chocolate mousse. This dessert was incredibly rich and chocolatey, so be advised if you’re looking for something lighter. The brownie base on the bottom was served chilled, giving it a tougher-than-expected texture, as well.

The tiramisu featured a bitter espresso flavor inside, and the raspberry sauce was tart in flavor, which went really well with the espresso and the chocolate flavors. The dark chocolate mousse really added to the richness and chocolate flavors. Overall, this thing is deceptively heavy, so be prepared for that or share the dessert with someone.

Very chocolatey

Finally, we tried the Millaflower Toast at Oga’s Cantina for $12.

Millaflower Toast

This snack is made with cinnamon-swirl toast, whipped ricotta cream, cheesecake frosting, strawberries, lychee pearls, chocolate crumble, and matcha powder. We weren’t huge fans of the hard texture, but the flavor profile was awesome. It was really sweet, savory, and more of a dessert than expected. The toast had a light cinnamon flavor, and the cheesecake frosting was sweet and dense.

The whipped ricotta also stood out, as it was really light and creamy with a tangy yet sweet flavor. The strawberries were also super fresh — we just wish it came with more! The lychee pearls were also a fun addition with a light floral flavor. The matcha powder didn’t really do much.

Outside of the texture, we really liked this and think it’s worth a try if you’re a fan of these flavors!

Lots of great flavors happening here
