When you’re packing your day bag, the new normal is to make sure you’ve got an extra face mask with you on top of your sunscreen and sunglasses before hitting the parks.

Although the switch to new health and safety measures might still feel unfamiliar to anything we’ve experienced in the past, Disney World has placed an importance on the well-being of guests and Cast Members returning to the parks.

In our My Disney Experience app, we recently received a “thank you” notice from the Disney Parks for wearing our face masks and following the new safety regulations.

After clicking the push notification, we were taken to a page inside the app that gave us the option to “Learn More” about the health and safety guidelines in the parks.

The “Learn More” tab provides additional detailed information about what guests can expect before returning to the parks. Along with distancing measures in place, Disney has continued to update its face mask policies in the parks to reflect CDC guidelines.

The updated policy includes statements that guests can only remove their masks when they are actively eating or drinking and stationary and that masks must remain on while they’re taking photos. Disney World has also put signage up in the parks reflecting the rule that anybody who chooses not to wear a face mask properly will be asked to leave.
