With Disney Vacation Club resorts open right now or opening soon in Disney World, Hawaii, Hilton Head, and Vero Beach, DVC members can use their points to book a fantastic getaway.

DVC Members also get a number of “membership extras” including certain discounts and special events. But, the points needed to obtain these membership extras has now changed.
Previously, Disney Vacation Club members had to purchase 100 Vacation Points to take advantage of “Membership Extras.” According to the DVC Member Benefits website, Membership Extras include “vacation options in the Disney and Concierge Collections, certain discounts, offers, and special events are incidental benefits.” To receive any Membership Extras, a DVC member must present a valid Disney Vacation Club Membership Card along with a valid photo ID.

As of today, however, that number has changed. The DVC Benefits website now indicates that guests must now accumulate a total of at least 125 Vacation Points purchased directly from Disney Vacation Development, Inc. in order to get a Disney Vacation Club Membership Card and obtain those membership extras.
