We’ve been eagerly awaiting more news about Universal Orlando’s new park coming in 2025 — Epic Universe — and now that we’ve been able to enter Epic Universe (and take allll the pictures), we have so much to share.

We’ve checked out the park’s preview center, kept track of the updates about the themed lands (including Dark Universe!), and been looking at the construction. We even finally got a chance to go INTO the park, where we got to explore everything for ourselves, and THIS was the standout experience.

In How to Train Your Dragon — Isle of Berk, you’ll see Viking statues and spires and will instantly be transported back to the time of Hiccup and Toothless. It’s, well, fantastical.

There are detailed dragon houses and a HUGE Ice Dragon that breathes ice onto guests. But there’s one dragon we’re really obsessed with in this land.

After seeing him literally fly with Hiccup over us at The Untrainable Dragon, the live stage show in the land, we got to actually MEET Hiccup and Toothless.

No, really — we met a real dragon!

Toothless was so sweet, and he let us pet him. Hiccup was so funny, and he acted exactly like he did in the movies. From his conversation with us to his subtle mannerisms, he was undoubtedly…Hiccup!

Epic Universe is set to open on May 22nd, 2025, which will be here sooner than you know it!

Within Epic Universe, you’ll find areas themed to Harry Potter…

…Nintendo…

…the Universal monsters…

…and even astronomy and mythology (Celestial Park).

There will also be the Grand Helios Hotel with direct access TO the park…

…and even more hotels to enjoy (Stella Nova and Terra Luna).
