It’s time for the Disneyland 70th Anniversary Celebration!
As part of the festivities, there will be new ride additions, brand-new attractions, the return of fan-favorite parades, and so much more — like a whole lot of exciting entertainment. We’re talking fireworks, parades, shows, and a whole lot more. We got the chance to check it all out, and here’s what you need to know!
Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary Celebration runs from May 16th through summer 2026. There will be TONS of exciting entertainment — so here’s what you can expect!
The Celebrate Happy Cavalcade
Twice a day (showtimes are 1:30 PM and 2:45 PM), you can catch a TON of Disney characters as they dance their way down Main Street, U.S.A. in the Celebrate Happy Cavalcade. This mini parade is so charming!
Celebrate Happy!
One of the best parts of the cavalcade is the return of a beloved Disney character: Duffy! Also in attendance for the show are Mickey Mouse, ShellieMay, Max, Disney Princesses, heroes, and more!
Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration! Parade
The “Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration!” parade has returned to Disney California Adventure for the celebration!
Better Together: A Pixar Pals Celebration!
This daytime parade includes nearly 30 Pixar characters from some of the most popular Pixar movies! This parade is a fan-favorite for a reason — from the floats to the characters, this is a FUN 25-minute attraction. (Where else can you jam out with THE 4*Town band?!)
Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live!
An all-new show, “Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live!” is debuting at the Disney Theater at Disney California Adventure as part of this celebration!
Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live!
This new show features upbeat original songs, plenty of interactive fun for the little ones, and appearances by beloved Disney characters to sing and dance with — like Mickey and Minnie! This one is great for little ones; there are some cute character moments that kids will love. Oh, and the music? It’s a BOP!
World of Color Happiness!
A new “World of Color” show has debuted, called “World of Color Happiness!” The nighttime show is inspired by Walt Disney’s famous words on opening day: “To all who come to this happy place… welcome!”
World of Color
Joy and the other emotions from Inside Out and Inside Out 2 host this new nighttime spectacular. Viewers journey through some of Disney’s most iconic stories, music, and moments, including Turning Red, A Goofy Movie, Tangled, The Lion King, and more.
Dumbo
Oh, and here’s a fun fact for you. Before World of Color Happiness! begins, Kermit the Frog, Gonzo and other Muppets will make a special appearance to share safety announcements projected across the World of Color fountains.
The Muppets pre-show
Yes, it’s silly, and yes, we loved it. Happy anniversary to the Muppets!
Disney Has a NEW Nighttime Show Featuring the Muppets!
Tapestry of Happiness projection show
Disney’s 70th Anniversary celebration extends all the way to Fantasyland! There’s a new projection show on the facade of “it’s a small world” that brings the attraction to life through the use of light, music, pyrotechnics, and more. The show pays tribute to the art style of Mary Blair, who designed the ride.
Tapestry of Happiness
The show also features the theme song created for the new celebration, “Celebrate Happy” — recorded by none other than the Jonas Brothers — that you will hear throughout the celebration offerings (and can stream now!).
Paint the Night Parade
The “Paint the Night” parade has returned to Disneyland Park! This beloved nighttime parade will once again make its way down Main Street, U.S.A. If you can’t already tell from the pictures, this parade is pure MAGIC. We adored the show — the lights, colors, and music were PERFECTION.
Paint the Night Parade
The parade utilizes millions of lights to create stunning colors as some of your favorite characters parade through Disneyland Park.
This parade is SO GOOD!
You will see characters from Monsters, Inc., Cars, Toy Story, and more. Seriously — don’t miss this parade. It’s a BLAST!
Wondrous Journeys Nighttime Spectacular
“Wondrous Journeys” is also back during Disneyland Resort’s 70th Celebration. The nighttime spectacular celebrates the legacy of Walt Disney Animation Studios and takes you on a journey through some of its most iconic characters and stories.
Wondrous Journeys
The show utilizes projection effects on Sleeping Beauty Castle, Main Street, U.S.A., the Rivers of America, and “it’s a small world” to bring your favorite stories to life. One of our favorite parts of the show is when the Blue Fairy from Pinocchio appears in the sky to grant your wish. It’s one of those “OOOOHHHH” moments that you don’t want to miss. On select nights, the show will also include fireworks!
We were speechless!
We’ll be on the lookout for more updates from the Disneyland 70th Celebration and beyond. In the meantime, make sure you stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for the latest Disney news and more!
