Attention turkey bacon lovers, you may need to check that turkey bacon you have in your fridge.

According to the USDA, a recall has been announced on Oscar Mayer turkey bacon products due to the bacon potentially being contaminated with Listeria.
The Kraft Heinz Food Company of Newberry, SC, announced the recall of fully cooked turkey bacon that was produced from April 24th through June 11th, 2025. The recall comes after the company’s laboratory testing revealed possible listeria contamination. Although no illnesses have been reported, Listeria can cause a serious infection that primarily affects seniors, individuals with weakened immune systems, pregnant women, and newborns. However, people outside those risk groups can also be affected.

The recall involves the following products, so check your fridges for these:
- 12-oz. vacuum-packed packages of “Oscar Mayer Turkey BACON ORIGINAL” and universal product code (UPC) “071871548601” printed on the packaging under the barcode,” use by” dates ranging from “18 JUL 2025” to “02 AUG 2025,” and lot code “RS40.”
- 36-oz. packages containing three 12-oz. vacuum-packed packages of “Oscar Mayer Turkey BACON ORIGINAL” and universal product code (UPC) “071871548748” printed on the packaging under the barcode, “use by” dates ranging “23 JUL 2025” to “04 SEP 2025,” and lot codes “RS19,” “RS40,” or “RS42.”
- 48-oz. packages containing four 12-oz. vacuum-packed packages of “Oscar Mayer Turkey BACON ORIGINAL” and UPC “071871548793” printed on the packaging under the barcode and “use by” dates ranging “18 JUL 2025” to “04 SEP 2025,” and lot codes “RS19,” “RS40,” or “RS42.”

If you have purchased any of these products, please do not eat them. You should either discard them or return them to the store where you purchased them.
