Guests Being Redirected Through Exit to Enter the Haunted Mansion in Magic Kingdom

There was reportedly an oil spill at The Haunted Mansion in Magic Kingdom early Friday morning, leading Cast Members to re-route guests through the ride’s exit.

The Haunted Mansion Oil Spill

A woman with a microphone stands near a gated park entrance as people wait in line by the Haunted Mansion attraction.

When we stopped by the ride, we saw Cast Members putting mats down in the entrance archway. We initially thought it could be related to recent pavement work but then heard that there was an oil spill.

People stand and walk near a construction wall and entrance gate on a sunny day at a theme park.

For now, the stand-by and Lightning Lane entrances are closed. Instead, guests looking to ride are being routed around the spill through the exit archway.

The construction walls in the area block the view of Rivers of America, now drained and ready for construction of the new Cars expansion to Frontierland. There is also scrim in the interactive queue of The Haunted Mansion. Construction markers were added to the ride’s graveyard a few weeks ago, and the area might be demolished to create a new walkway as part of Cars construction.
