Imagineers Reveal Storybook Castle Aboard Disney Adventure

Walt Disney Imagineering shared a first look at the Storybook Castle sculpture in the Imagination Garden onboard the Disney Destiny.

Imagination Garden Storybook Castle

The first Disney castle at sea, the fantastical Storybook Castle — standing three decks tall as the centerpiece of the Imagination Garden — was shared on the Disney Parks Blog:

A mural of a pink and blue castle, reminiscent of Sleeping Beauty Castle, framed by arches with a golden Tinker Bell statue in front.

The Walt Disney Imagineering team drew inspiration from the iconic castles featured in beloved Disney films and Disney Parks around the world. The paper cut-out style, reminiscent of a pop-up storybook, invites guests to step into their own story.

Like its landlocked brethren, the Storybook Castle features the Disney family crest along with several Easter eggs, including a hidden Mickey.

A gold Tinker Bell statue stands before a painted fairytale castle with blue spires, resembling Disneyland’s Sleeping Beauty Castle.
Two in Imagineering Germany gear gaze at an indoor mural of a castle resembling Disneyland Paris more than Cinderella Castle.

Disney Adventure

Mickey and Minnie in captain outfits stand by a Disney Adventure cruise ship with fireworks, magical like a Disney castle show.

The Disney Adventure, the only Adventure class ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet, will be based in Singapore. Originally set to sail in December 2025, the Disney Adventure’s maiden voyage was delayed to March 10, 2026.
