Foolish Mortals, rejoice — Disney’s Haunted Mansion is “crossing over” to Fortnite soon!

There’s so much we already love about the Haunted Mansion at the parks — the atmospheric queuing, the stretching portraits, the hitchhiking ghosts, down to the cheesy pun-filled narration. Now imagine experiencing that same vibe in Fortnite! Since Disney’s expansion into the gaming realm with Fortnite, we’ve already seen creative skins and characters allowing us to play as some of our favorite Disney pals. But now, Disney’s iconic dark ride is teased along with Fortnite, and yes, it’s just as creepy and fun as you hoped!

Disney recently dropped a cryptic teaser referencing the iconic Haunted Mansion, and it has us screaming in anticipation! Fans of the ride at Magic Kingdom and Disneyland are already familiar with the eerie stretching portraits and the low hum of ghostly anticipation, and now it seems Fortnite players will soon be able to experience that same spooky vibe — just in digital form!

The teaser reveals Fortnite characters Peely, Fishstick, and more, posed as the stretching room portraits you’ll find within the pre-show of the Haunted Mansion, perfectly capturing the ride’s cheeky dark humor.

While Disney hasn’t released any further information aside from stretching room portraits with a heavy Fortnite influence, it stands to reason that we could see Disney’s Haunted Mansion as the next chapter to unfold within the game. Disney, along with Fortnite’s creator, Epic Games, announced their partnership plans last year, which brought familiar characters from Pixar, Star Wars, and even Disney villains into the popular game, allowing us to play with several of our favorites.

It’s still unclear exactly how the Haunted Mansion will be woven into the Fortnite world, but one thing’s for sure — there’s a LOT of excitement about it. In Disney Park’s tease post on Instagram fans flocked to fill the comments with encouraging banter such as “Amazing”, calling out the subtleness that the typical stretching room characters have been replaced with Fortnite’s, and even mentioning out their wish lists for skins of popular Haunted Mansion propaganda like The Hatbox Ghost, Constance Hatchaway, Madame Leotta back bling and even a “jam track” for Grim Grinning Ghosts to make an appearance.
