Because we love Disney decor, treats, and experiences ANYWHERE, we took a cruise around Disney World’s monorail loop to stop by the Contemporary Resort, the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and the Polynesian Village Resort to see what’s new!
What’s New at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
Polynesian Village Resort Construction Updates
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is undergoing a MAJOR refurbishment right now and rooms will be getting a Moana theme! One of the biggest changes we’re seeing is continued work on the roof of the Polynesian’s Great Ceremonial House.

We also keep seeing construction signs in the lobby helping to direct guests around the resort.

Polynesian Village Resort Holiday Updates
Despite all of the construction and signs, the resort lobby sure is looking festive with all the holiday decor! Like we’ve seen at the Grand Floridian, Wilderness Lodge, Animal Kingdom Lodge, and more, holiday decorations are UP at the Poly!

We’ve already seen the STUNNING Christmas tree at the Grand Floridian, and now the Disney Vacation Club Member entrance to the Grand Floridian has gotten another dose of holiday cheer: a chocolate sculpture and gingerbread house!

We may not have the large gingerbread house displays, but we DO have a smaller display, decorated with white chocolate buttons and super sweet (literally!) evergreen trees.

Last night, we got some BIG, BOOMING news: Disney World was testing fireworks at the Magic Kingdom!
