Everything You NEED to Eat and Drink at Disney’s 2026 Lunar New Year Festival

Everything You NEED to Eat and Drink at Disney’s 2026 Lunar New Year Festival

One of the BEST festivals has returned to Disney California Adventure in Disneyland! The Lunar New Year Festival runs from January 23rd through February 22nd, 2026, this year, and we’re bringing you everything you need to know.

Lucky 8 Lantern Full Spread

The festival brings in special entertainment, characters, and more, but most importantly, it brings in food booths with some seriously stellar eats and drinks. We’ve visited the festival and pretty much tasted EVERYTHING, so we’re sharing everything you need to eat and drink at the 2026 Lunar New Year Festival!

New Bests

These are our favorite items that are making their debut at the festival this year! Let’s take a look at what new items we think you need to try out.

Five-Spice Popcorn Chicken at Bamboo Blessings

We were super impressed with the new Five-Spice Popcorn Chicken with sweet chile-garlic sauce. It’ll cost you $9.50, and not only was the chicken perfectly moist and very well seasoned, but the sauce was incredible.

Five-Spice Popcorn Chicken

The sauce does have a kick to it, but the sweetness evens it out very well. We don’t think it’ll be too much for most people, unless you know that you’re spice-adverse as a whole. We’d absolutely get it again!

Guava Dragon Fruit Sparkler at Bamboo Blessings

If you’re looking for a refreshing drink, the Guava Dragon Fruit Sparkler for $8.50 is a major recommendation from us. This is a non-alcoholic drink with Simply Lemonade, Topo Chico, and guava and dragon fruit syrups garnished with frozen dragon fruit

The dragonfruit cubes were absolutely stunning in this drink and helped with that truly refreshing flavor, but we recommend you stir it up to ensure you get all the flavors. Even if it’s a rainy and colder day, we recommend!

Japchae Noodles at Longevity Noodle Co.

We absolutely loved the Japchae Noodles with Kalbi short rib for $9.50!

Japchae Noodles and Garlic Noodles

The Kalbi short rib has a sweet and savory flavor we loved, and the beef was cooked perfectly. The noodles were also cooked perfectly, despite their slightly gelatinous look, and we were big fans of the flavor the mushrooms and veggies added. If you’re looking for something savory, this is a great choice.

Unsung Brewing Company Photo Nuclear Orange at Prosperity Bao & Buns

Out of the new beers at this booth, the Unsung Brewing Company Photo Nuclear Orange for $18.50 was easily our favorite.

Photo Nuclear Orange

This tasted like a creamy orange dreamsicle (you know, the ice cream that so many of us loved as kids?), and having that in a beer form? We loved it!

Cold Brew Cocktail at Wrapped With Love

For the coffee fans, you won’t want to miss the Cold Brew Cocktail for $19.50, which is made with bourbon, Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Co. Vietnamese-style Coffee, cocoa powder, and condensed milk, garnished with taro chocolate sweet cream and a chocolate wafer stick. A non-alcoholic version is also available for $7.75.

Cold Brew Cocktail

The main flavor here is the coffee, but the Taro cream added an earthy, sweet flavor we really enjoyed. The bourbon wasn’t overly strong either, which we appreciated, but be sure to stir the drink up before taking a sip since it does sink to the bottom.

Returning Bests

We had a lot of new items that we really enjoyed, but there are also some returning items that you need to try!

Strawberry Milk Tea Macaron at Bamboo Blessings

The Strawberry Milk Tea Macaron truly blew us away with how natural the strawberry tasted — there wasn’t a hint of artificial-tasting flavor in there. It does cost $9, but it’s pretty large!

Strawberry Milk Tea Macaron

Not only is it gorgeous looking, but the milk tea jelly on the inside truly does nail the flavor, creating a perfect balance with the sweetness of the strawberry. We highly recommend!

Char Siu BBQ Pork Bao at Prosperity Bao & Buns

Not only is the Char Siu BBQ Pork Bao with pickled red onions and jalapeño for $9.25 wonderful to look at due to its gorgeous design, but it’s just as great to eat!

Char Siu BBQ Pork Bao

It’s a great mix of sweet and spicy, and those pickled onions give the dish a fantastic crunch. The bao was soft and pillowy as ever, and we’d eat this over and over again.

Kung Pao Bun at Prosperity Bao & Buns

The Kung Pao Bun is plant-based (but we never would have known if it wasn’t for saying it on the listing), and is made with plant-based chicken, toasted peanuts, and scallions for $9.

Kung Pao Bao

The “chicken” has incredible flavor, and the nuttiness from the peanuts really just adds to that. Then adding in the tanginess of the scallions? Yes, please!

Mandarin Orange Cream Puff at Red Dragon Spice Traders

The Mandarin Orange Cream Puff, filled with citrus cream and Mandarin compote, is available for $9, and we truly LOVED it.

Mandarin Orange Cream Puff

The top was crispy, but the rest of the puff was soft, and the mandarin compote in the middle had a baby food-like consistency, which meant it tasted SUPER fresh, and it blended super well with the thicker citrus cream. If you love fruity flavors, do not miss this one.

Best Booth

Prosperity Bao & Buns

Basically, everything at this booth was a hit for us! Both of the baos available were delicious and didn’t let us down in the slightest. The beer flight was also solid, with a few of them really standing out above the rest. If there’s one booth to visit this year, it’s Prosperity Bao & Buns!
