TRYING 5 NEW HOLIDAY TREATS AT DISNEY’S HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS

Covering limited time food items has become a staple for this blog, and today is no different. Whether it be Disney Springs, or EPCOT’s Food and Wine Festival, we have consistently covered what’s new and fresh to taste at the theme parks. Today, we visited Disney’s Hollywood Studios to try out all the new and sweet Holiday treats. It’s true that the Disney theme parks offer many delicious treats and snacks to choose from, but with so many new additions this season, there’s sure to be a ghoulishly delightful treat that will send every taste bud in your group buzzing.

1. HOLIDAY WHOOPIE PIE

AMAZING! The Holiday Whoopie pie is a moist red velvet cake filled with classic cream cheese. You need to have a deep love of red velvet cake because this Holiday Whoopie Pie has a lot of it! This tasty treat is found at the Trolly Car Café and is price pointed at $4.99. Upon the first taste test, the cream cheese icing is amazing and the red velvet explodes right inside your mouth bringing an amazing amount of taste and flavor. Another thing to add, the cream cheese icing inside this Holiday Pie is pretty similar to icing that would be on a carrot cake except it’s inside 2 red velvet pies. Jen mentioned that this also had a slight taste of eggnog and that really brings in the Holiday festivities into this delicious treat.

2. MICKEY’S HOLIDAY COOKIE

Found at Rosie’s All-American Cafe is where you can find the 2nd soft and very buttery inside Holiday Treat, appropriately titled ‘Mickey’s Holiday Cookie’. Mickey’s Holiday Cookie is a vanilla butter cookie enrobed with white chocolate and sugar snowflakes. The cookie is almost the size of my face and is price pointed at $4.99. The red coloring of this cookie makes it the perfect Holiday Cookie and something we would expect coming from a Disney treat. This treat is the perfect portion size to share with your significant other, or to be enjoyed by yourself if you desire! Regardless of how you choose to finish off Mickey’s Holiday Cookie, you can never go wrong with a standard cookie.

3. FROZEN SALTED CARAMEL HOT CHOCOLATE

If you often find yourself craving a sweet seasonal beverage, but maybe not a coffee, the Frozen Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate may be perfect for you. This drink consists of Frozen Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate topped with marshmallows, green sugar, and a chocolate drizzle served with a souvenir Mickey Jingle Bell Glow Cube, and is price pointed at $9.49. This drink is available at several different locations around Disney’s Hollywood Studios, such as Backlot Express, ABC Commissary, PizzieRizzo, and Rosie’s All-American Café. This drink is very interesting because you don’t get a salted caramel flavor out of it but instead you get more of a hot chocolate flavor first and then a small hint of salted caramel. With this drink, the further you get down, the better it starts to taste. But, if you’re in the mood for a seasonal hot chocolate drink, give this a try.

4. OLAF’S SNOW FLURRY

If you’re looking for a snack that is a bit more Frozen, Olaf’s Snow Flurry is perfect for you. If you want to pick up the perfect ‘winter’ snack right in Florida, you can grab this snack at Rosie’s All-American Café once again. For $7.99 you can treat yourself with a yellow cupcake with vanilla buttercream, snow flurry sugar, and topped with an Olaf Glow Clip. This is the perfect take-home treat, you get a glowing Olaf and he won’t melt away. The snow flurry sugar is a nice touch of detail, and it really gives the Frozen, fun and movie effect. This cupcake is not overly sweet and the sugar gives it a nice crunchy texture. This is an amazing treat if you’re out at the park and looking to try a delicious Frozen cupcake!

5. HOLIDAY TREE MOUSSE

Our final snack of the day comes to us courtesy of Backlot Express. The Holiday Tree Mousse is created by a Milk Chocolate Chai Mousse on an Almond Financier Cake and a Butter Cookie. For only $5.49, this delicious Holiday Treat is definitely a bang for your buck. Upon the first taste test, it tastes almost like a chocolate ginger bread and is absolutely amazing. If you find yourself out at Disney’s Hollywood Studios it is a must that you head over to the Backlot Express and pick yourself out a Holiday Tree Mousse.
