Moderate crowds signaled the end of the Thanksgiving weekend at Walt Disney World today. Average posted wait times at EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom didn’t crack the top 15 of the past month. And while the Magic Kingdom’s average wait times were higher, it was only the fifth-busiest day of the past month. We received 97 actual wait times today. Let’s do the numbers!
Magic Kingdom Wait Times
Like on Saturday, no major attraction at the Magic Kingdom had its highest waits of the week on Sunday. It looks like crowds largely stayed away from the park, at least in numbers that would’ve stressed the park’s 35% capacity. With nice weather, Splash Mountain had the highest average posted wait times in the park today.
Hollywood Studios Wait Times
A couple of attractions at the Studios had their highest average posted wait times of the past week today. The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror had an average wait time today of 63 minutes. Its 7-day average is 46 minutes, so today ranks #1 for this week. Its 30-day average is 48 minutes, so today ranks #1 for the past month.
Likewise, Star Tours: The Adventures Continue had an average wait time today of 28 minutes. Its 7-day average is 21 minutes, so today ranks #1 for this week. Its 30-day average is 25 minutes, so today ranks #6 for the past month. But we received 4 actual wait times today at Star Tours, and the actual wait averaged 35% of the posted wait time.
Rise of the Resistance got off to a late start calling boarding groups today, with the first boarding groups called a little after 11 a.m. But things ran smoothly from that point through to just before 4 p.m. Rise stopped calling boarding groups for a little more than half an hour starting just before 4 p.m. But given that the ride opened an hour later than normal, and we know Rise of the Resistance pauses boarding groups around 3 p.m. on many days, this delay at 4 p.m. might be part of its daily maintenance or cleaning schedule.
Animal Kingdom Wait Times
Wait times were very moderate at Animal Kingdom today. As usual, Flight of Passage had the highest average posted wait time at 52 minutes. But its 7-day average is 99 minutes, so today ranks #6 for this week. Its 30-day average is 65 minutes, so today ranks #19 for the past month.
EPCOT Wait Times
Finally, moderate crowds were found in EPCOT today, too. Frozen Ever After had the highest average posted wait time, 79 minutes. Its 7-day average is 88 minutes, so today only ranks #6 for this week. Its 30-day average is 73 minutes, so today ranks #9 for the past month.
