We’re getting literal new angles on the transformation of the former Muppets Courtyard buildings into Monstropolis, as triangular frames have been added to multiple structures.

The Shape of the Day: Triangles

Among the scaffolding surrounding the building that was Gonzo’s Royal Flush, we can see a triangular-shaped frame has been installed on top of the awning.

In the concept art, we can see that the building on the left has this triangular front with decorative accents resembling monster teeth.

Meanwhile, over at the former Muppet*Vision 3D theater, another triangular frame has appeared on the front of the building.

This might precede a structural installation to support the marquee, based on the lack of a triangular shape on the concept art.

The purple gutter is also officially off the building, as we spotted a piece of it lying on its side on the scaffolding.

The currently faceless building facades around the area are completely sheathed in transparent tarps for protection until the new facades are installed.

Two theming permits were recently filed to transform Mama Melrose’s into Harryhausen’s and more, and show building construction continues on the land’s door vault coaster. Check out our Monstropolis construction page to see the latest updates.
