Disney’s Hollywood Studios is transforming right before our eyes! Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, featuring new missions and characters, debuts on May 22nd, and Rock ‘n’ Rollercoaster Starring The Muppets opens on May 26th. All this, and Monsters Inc. Land is under construction!

On top of that, the brand-new Walt Disney Studios courtyard has officially started opening in phases, with a full opening on May 26th. The new area is going to feature a ton of experiences, meet-and-greets, and more, including new music!
When it comes to Disney World, Disney Imagineering has not only mastered the art of making the most stunning things to look at, but also the best background sounds to listen to. Things are no different with this Walt Disney Studios area, which will feature new music.

Disney Imagineering posted on social media explaining that they have put a lot of thought, attention, and detail into this new score for the courtyard. The score puts emphasis on the fact that music is such a powerful tool when it comes to storytelling. It fully immerses you in the environment.

Disney Imagineering said its main goal for the music at The Walt Disney Studios was to set the mood. The sound and music guide the guests through spaces. They do this by using various tempos and effects, as well as dimming and raising the music volume in certain areas. Why? Because it controls where your attention is drawn to.

On their social media post, Disney Imagineering teased that you may get hints of different tracks from some of your favorite Disney scores. From both visuals and sounds, that nostalgia is going to hit us hard in this new courtyard! Check out the video that @waltdisneyimagineering posted on Instagram.
Part of Walt Disney Studios has opened early, where guests can enjoy the courtyard, hidden details, and the music. While not everything is open yet, the official opening is just around the corner on May 26th.

Not only that, but the new area also brought along an early opening of Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! It wasn’t set to debut till May 26th, but here it is six days early. It was a fan-favorite show in Disneyland, and it is now here in Hollywood Studios starring Mickey and his pals.
