Curtains have arrived at Disney Lakeshore Lodge guest rooms as crews continue construction on the resort’s exterior.

Lakeshore Lodge Guest Rooms

We saw light curtains pulled across several windows in areas of the resort near completion.

In one window, curtains were tied up so they were out of the way of crew members. We could see the hanging rods for adjusting the curtains.

In some rooms without curtains, we saw crew members walking around. There are lights on the ceiling, although it’s hard to tell which lights are permanent and which are work lights.

A-Frame Cabins

More windows have been installed on the cabins to the east and west of the main resort. Crews are still completing paint work on railings and walls.

We could see insulation on the underside of the cabin rooftops.

Lakeshore Lodge Dock

The dock jutting out from the resort’s shoreline now has the beginnings of a structure at the end. Four sets of vertical supports have horizontal beams sticking out to the sides and connecting them. This will probably become a shaded pavilion for guests waiting for boat transport.

More Lakeshore Lodge Construction

Some tarps are gone from the back of the lobby structure. We can now easily see the walls of windows at the front and back of the lobby. Inside are railings along the upper floors.

Painting has progressed since our early July update. The walls to the right above the lobby roof are now dark gray and pale green instead of light gray.

The pale green and dark gray color scheme continues around the resort. But some walls still have exposed sheathing and unpainted concrete.

Blue protective scrims are gone from most balconies on the west wing, indicating painting in this area is nearly complete. Crew members in lifts were working on the gray columns jutting out from one wall.

It looks like both tree-inspired murals on the north side of the resort are completed. More dark sheathing has also been installed on walls in this area while columns remain unfinished frames.

On the south side, where the main entrance of the resort will be, crew members have installed plywood on the underside of the bus stop pavilions. Weather-proof sheathing appears to cover the tops of the roofs.
