The Oriental Land Company, owner and operator of Tokyo Disney Resort, has published results for the first quarter of the company’s 2027 fiscal year. Within the report was a forecast for Oriental Land Cruise, also known as Disney Cruise Line Japan.

Cruise Details
- Route: Cruises mainly depart and arrive at Tokyo International Cruise Terminal
- Length of Cruise: 2- to 4-night short-term cruises
- Price Per Person: A wide range of prices from the ¥100,000 to ¥300,000 range (for the most common type of guest rooms)
- Target: Families, younger generation, overseas inbound travelers
Ship Details
- Scheduled Start of Services: Japanese fiscal year 2028 (confirmed to be 2029)
- Registry: Japan
- Tonnage: Approximately 140,000 gross tons
- Capacity: Approximately 4,000 persons
- Investment Value: ¥290 billion for the ship’s body, with an additional ¥40 billion in contingency funds (assumed exchange rates of ¥165 to the euro and ¥155 to the dollar)
- Ship Design: Based on the Disney Wish, with some elements adapted for the Japanese market
- Number of Guest Rooms: Approximately 1,250 rooms
- Number of Crew: Approximately 1,500 persons
It was also noted that “the launch of a second ship will be considered when the first ship is successfully on track.”
The ship, whose name also has not been announced, is being built by MEYER WERFT in Papenburg, Germany, and will join the other Wish-class ships: The Disney Wish, Disney Treasure, Disney Destiny, and Disney Believe (the newest ship revealed back in March).
The new ship is scheduled to be delivered in 2028 and would be the first time a Disney cruise ship is owned and operated by organizations outside of the Walt Disney Company.
