A freshly mulched planting bed now stretches across the upper portion of the grassy slope beneath the mansion. Dozens of low-growing green shrubs have been arranged in loose rows through the bed. Though we cannot definitively identify the species, the new greenery resembles some varieties of juniper shrubs.

The shrubbery follows the contour of the hill, creating a landscaped transition between the lawn and the mansion’s elevated terrace. Smaller plants also appear closer to the wrought-iron fence at the foot of the slope.

At least two trees have been planted near the center-left portion of the hillside. Their thin trunks and sparse, narrow foliage stand out against the larger, established trees surrounding the attraction. The new trees are supported by stakes and cables while they establish themselves in the ground.

Irregular slabs of gray stone extend across part of the slope beneath and around the trees. These create a rocky break within the planting bed and complement the mansion’s Gothic Revival-inspired architecture.

The mulch remains evenly spread and the individual shrubs are still distinctly separated. As the plants mature, they will likely fill more of the space beneath the terrace.

Gray construction scrims remain around the mansion’s lower level, even though most of the upper exterior was recently uncovered. A folded section of scrim reveals part of the wall beneath the conservatory. The exposed surface currently shows a flat gray finish and horizontal detailing.

The newly visible upper facade features darker red brick, lighter stone accents, and the restored green finish of the cupola dome. These changes bring the mansion’s color palette closer to its appearance during the attraction’s earlier years.
