Disney has covered the top of a rusty post outside Columbia Harbour House in Magic Kingdom with a temporary cap.
Columbia Harbour House Rusty Post

This wheel-shaped decorative element is outside one of the quick-service restaurant’s exit doors in Liberty Square. In late July, we shared that the top of the lower post had been removed, revealing the rusty metal underneath. The topper may have been removed on accident by a guest.

Now it’s covered by a white cap. It doesn’t appear the cap is permanent. It’s the wrong shape and color. But it covers the rust until Disney can replace the topper.
Below is what the rusty post looked like.

Above are close-ups of the rusty post and the taller post with its topper intact.
Columbia Harbour House went through an extensive exterior refurbishment in 2024, which included fixing up this railing. At that time, crew members wrapped a piece of scrim around the exposed rust.
