The theater at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will not be playing Vacation Fun during an upcoming closure announced on the Walt Disney World website.
Vacation Fun at Mickey Shorts Theater Temporarily Closing
The official Walt Disney World website has been updated to reflect the closure. There is now a warning that says, “Vacation Fun – An Original Animated Short with Mickey & Minnie at the Mickey Shorts Theater will be temporarily closed August 9, and is planned to reopen later this year.” A more specific opening date has not been announced at the time of this writing.
The closure of Vacation Fun notably occurs two days before the release of the Kermit-themed Annual Passholder magnet. Passholders can pick up their Kermit magnet at the Mickey Shorts Theater in Disney’s Hollywood Studios from park open to park close starting August 11.
Vacation Fun is an original animated short film starring Mickey and Minnie Mouse. The show celebrates the duo’s favorite vacation memories. It includes never-before-seen animation mixed with clips from these Mickey Mouse shorts:
- Panda-monium
- Couples Sweaters
- Potatoland
- Croissant de Triomphe
- Entombed
- Dumb Luck
- Al Rojo Vivo
- Yodelburg
- Outback at Ya!
