The two Disneyland attractions will be closing next month, September 2026, likely for a short-term refurbishment.

Mad Tea Party and Pirate’s Lair on Tom Sawyer Island Temporarily Closing

On the official Disneyland website, both Mad Tea Party and Pirate’s Lair on Tom Sawyer Island don’t have operating times listed for Monday, September 14 and onward, suggesting these attractions will be undergoing a short refurbishment.

Pirate’s Lair on Tom Sawyer Island recently closed back in April for another short refurbishment. Since Pirate’s Lair refers to the entire Tom Sawyer Island, guests will not be able to visit it at all during the refurbishment.

Disneyland has not officially announced these closures, and an opening date for either attraction has not been announced at the time of this writing.
