ESPN8: The Ocho returns for its 10th anniversary to ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World this Friday, August 7. The event celebrates obscure sports and is free to attend as a spectator. WDWNT got to preview some of the sports that will be showcased during the event.

ESPN8: The Ocho 2026

ESPN8: The Ocho originated as a joke in Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story (2004) before becoming a successful real-life programming block. This year’s event will feature 23 new games. Ten live competitions and The Ocho Show will be hosted at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex on Friday.

The Ocho events will be located inside The Stadium and AdventHealth Arena. Guests can test their skills at various activities, meet the athletes, enjoy giveaways, and purchase merchandise, including a 10th anniversary t-shirt.

Returning games include Slippery Stairs. The 24 contestants are covered with lubricant before they try to get to the top of the stairs without grabbing the railing.

The 2026 Roofball U.S. Open will be in the afternoon. Players throw a football, hoping to hit a pin atop the roof or get the football to circle around the pin. They get another point for catching the football and lose points if the ball goes over the roof.

The Housekeeping Games include the mop relay, vacuum cleaner race, bed making, buffer pad toss, and toilet paper toss.

Donk Toss involves throwing a donkey onto a pad, with points based on how the donkey lands.
