Magic Kingdom operating hours are changing as Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party kicks off and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party waits in the wings.

Magic Kingdom Park Hours

Disney updated Magic Kingdom hours to have the park open an hour earlier than usual on Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party dates through August 21. It will open at 8 a.m. instead of 9 a.m. with early entry for hotel guests at 7:30 a.m.

Though party dates after August 21 don’t yet have an 8 a.m. opening listed, we expect the Walt Disney World calendar to be updated again, adding that extra hour to more dates.

On party dates, the park closes to regular admission at 6 p.m. and the party begins at 7 p.m. Disney uses that hour to shuffle non-party guests out of Magic Kingdom. Guests with a party ticket can enter as early as 4 p.m. and remain in the park. The parties run until midnight.

Happily Ever After fireworks and the Disney Starlight Parade are not performed on party nights.

Some Extended Evening Hours for select hotel guests have shifted from Magic Kingdom to Disney’s Hollywood Studios or Disney’s Animal Kingdom in the fall.

On most non-party dates, Magic Kingdom will be open from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. On some non-party dates, it opens at 8 a.m. and/or closes at 11 p.m.

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is on select nights August 7 through October 31. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is on select nights November 8 through December 22.

Make sure to double-check Disney’s calendar when making your vacation plans.
