Universal Studios Hollywood has a last-minute addition to Halloween Horror Nights 2026: Obsession.
Obsession at Halloween Horror Nights
Halloween Horror Nights creative director John Murdy made the announcement at Midsummer Scream, as seen in the TikTok video posted by user @stevengoessomewhere below.
Murdy highlighted how late in the process they decided to work Obsession into the event but they “rallied the troops” to make it happen. The horror film premiered at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival in September 2025 before a wide release in May 2026.
Murdy didn’t reveal all the details of Obsession at Halloween Horror Nights but said, “Nikki’s out there somewhere. You kind of have to get into a ‘Where’s Waldo?’ mentality. She’s out there somewhere and she might be looking for her next obsession.”
It sounds like Nikki will be a roaming Scareactor. In the film, Nikki’s friend Bear puts her under a spell to make her “love” him but she ends up horrifically obsessed with him. Nikki is portrayed by Inde Navarrette.
It’s not clear if Nikki will just appear at Halloween Horror Nights in Universal Studios Hollywood or if she will also appear at Universal Studios Florida.
