Review: New — And HUGE! — Candy Cane DONUT in Disney World

Do you remember when we chatted with you about the GIGANTIC Boston Cream Pie Donut we tried at a Joffrey’s Coffee and Tea kiosk in EPCOT recently?

Well, today we’re back to introduce you to its festive friend, the new Candy Cane Donut! We found this one at the Joffrey’s kiosk you’ll spot as you enter Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

It was tucked right inside the case along with a Mint Chocolate Donut.

And HERE is the Candy Cane Donut… WOW! Is this thing ready for the holidays or what?!

You can’t go wrong with the terrific base to start, which is an incredibly soft — not to mention HUGE — donut from Joffrey’s. (Seriously, these things are ALWAYS super fresh.)

From there, it’s topped with white vanilla icing… although you’d barely know, what with the crushed bits of… oh, approximately a bajillion-and-one candy canes — plus a drizzle of red icing — on top! It’s fun, festive, and pretty to look at. Now, as far as the actual eating of it…

Well, it IS a bit messy with all the toppings. And, because it’s so fresh, you can see how your grip sinks right into the donut!

But it’s also delicious. Perhaps this goes without saying once you’ve spied all that candy cane, but we’ll still let you know that this one is for the peppermint lovers out there, for sure.

And remember, there’s also that Mint Chocolate Donut available if you enjoy that flavor combo, but without the candy crunch. Not into mint? Then grab a regular vanilla glazed, which — for the time being — has a little festive flair of its own with some red and green sprinkles.
