Disney Experiences Chairman Thomas Mazloum and Neil Patrick Harris posed for a photo in front of the Disney Experiences Showcase stage for D23. And it looks like the setup may hint at a potential Figment announcement.

Figment and Dreamfinder at D23 Announcement?

In the photo, we can see background silhouettes and colors that closely resemble a Dreamfinder figure (left side of the above photo).

In yesterday’s video featuring Neil Patrick Harris, Harris also exclaimed “I’ve got it” in an accent, which is the catchphrase Dreamfinder used in the original version of the attraction. Plus, the light bulb hanging over his head could also be an Easter Egg.

For years, fans have demanded an overhaul of the Journey Into Imagination attraction and to bring back Dreamfinder. The Imagination Pavilion has suffered since the removal of the original Journey Into Imagination attraction in 1998. The original was replaced by ‘Journey into Your Imagination’ from 1999-2001, which was largely regarded as a complete disaster, before being replaced by the also heavily criticized ‘Journey into Imagination with Figment.’

Over the years, there have been long-standing rumors about different Disney IPs replacing or joining Figment, including Phineas and Ferb and Inside Out. Thankfully, those rumors have subsided, and it seems like The Walt Disney Company finally understands the importance of Figment to EPCOT and Walt Disney World.

We predicted we may receive some kind of Figment announcement at this weekend’s D23. Only two more days until we know!
