The new Hatbox Ghost popcorn bucket has materialized at Disneyland for D23 Day ahead of D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event this weekend.
Hatbox Ghost Popcorn Bucket – $39.75

It’s available at Harbour Galley, Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree, Popcorn at Frontierland, and Popcorn at New Orleans in Disneyland, and at Popcorn at Grizzly Peak Airfield and Popcorn Near Carthay Circle Restaurant in California Adventure.
It will be available while supplies last with a limit of two (2) per person, per transaction. No discounts apply.
The following photos were taken at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party in Magic Kingdom.

The popcorn bucket is dark blue and shaped to look like the hatbox the ghost’s head is stored in. A clear window is on one side of the bucket, while the other side has an embossed Haunted Mansion logo.

A lever at the base of the popcorn bucket rotates open a door so that he becomes visible, mimicking the appearing/disappearing effect found in the attraction. The switch at the base of the popcorn bucket is for the electronics, turning on lights and sounds.

The strap is decorated with the Disney Parks logo, bats on a moon, and various Haunted Mansion icons, like the Hatbox Ghost and gargoyle candelabra.

The top lid can be opened up to reveal the compartment where the popcorn can be stored. The ghostly blue head of the Hatbox Ghost can also be seen in this top-down view.
