Well, it’s getting difficult to keep track of, but I am here to break it all down for you! The times in which the Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance boarding passes are being offered are changing once again! (This is like the one millionth time, right?)

Moving forward, Guests will still have two opportunities to potentially obtain a virtual queue boarding pass for the extremely popular Disney’s Hollywood Studios attraction. In addition, much like they have been able to do since November, Guests will still be able to potentially get a boarding pass beginning at 7:00 a.m., without having to be in the park. (So, you can do it from the comfort of your own bed at your hotel, like I just recently did.) More details about how that process works can be found here.

So, here’s where the change comes into play. Now, beginning Sunday, December 20, the second potential boarding pass drop will occur at 1:00 p.m. (A change from 2:00 p.m.) Keep in mind, to access the 1:00 p.m. virtual queue opportunity, Guests must have valid park admission, a Disney Park Pass Reservation for Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and be inside the park. Of course, access to a boarding group is subject to availability and not guaranteed. (Again…ask me about my struggles in not getting a boarding pass.)

But wait…what happens when Park Hopping returns beginning on January 1, 2021? Well, unfortunately, Guests visiting from another theme park will not be able to request to join the virtual queue. So, no luck there. (For those who missed it, Guests will be able to park hop again, but not until after 2:00 p.m. Details can be found here.)

We also have some handy tips to keep in mind for those looking to obtain a boarding pass for Rise of the Resistance:

• Make sure you’ve got a My Disney Experience account and have the My Disney Experience app downloaded on your phone prior to arrival (and that it’s the most updated version)
• Make sure you have a valid Disney Park Pass reservation for Disney’s Hollywood Studios for the day you’re visiting
• Link all park tickets for those members who are in your party to your My Disney Experience account
• Select one member of your party to access the virtual queue for everyone in your group; if multiple people in your party try to join the virtual queue simultaneously, that may complicate your ability to secure a boarding group
