Fandango has shared a video on Instagram that shows a new look at Teagan Croft as Rapunzel for the live-action Tangled film coming to theaters in 2028.

In the video, Teagan Croft can be seen dancing to music in a parking lot. She is wearing a floor-length purple dress, white Crocs (those probably aren’t part of her costume), and a blonde wig that is so long it drags a bit on the ground.

Live-Action Tangled
We first reported on the development of a live-action Tangled remake in 2020, ten years after the original film’s release, and it was announced in December 2024 as being in development with The Greatest Showman film director Michael Gracey.
The project was then placed on “indefinite hold” in April 2025 following the disappointing performance of the live-action Snow White film, but resumed production in October 2025 after the blockbuster live-action Lilo & Stitch. Gracey is still directing, and Jennifer Kaytin Robinson is still writing the script.
The Tangled cast so far includes Kathryn Hahn as Mother Gothel, Milo Manheim as Flynn Rider, and Teagan Croft as Rapunzel. Diego Luna is also attached to the project as an original character in the film.
We’ve previously gotten first looks at Croft as Rapunzel and Hahn as Mother Gothel, as well as the tower being used in the movie.
Tangled will be in theaters on March 31, 2028.
