Walt Disney World Express Monorail Currently Unavailable, Resort Line Also Experiencing Issues

Walt Disney World’s Express Monorail, which transports guests between Magic Kingdom and the Transportation and Ticket Center, is currently unavailable. We also experienced issues while riding on the Resort Monorail line as well.

Monorail Troubles

The Express Monorail sign at Magic Kingdom reads, “Monorail service is currently not operating. Please use alternate transportation.”

The Resort Monorail is still available and can take guests from Magic Kingdom to the TTC, albeit with stops at nearby resorts.

While on the Resort Monorail, we saw trains parked on the Express line at the TTC and Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. We don’t know why the Express line was closed.

The train we were riding was then taken out of service at Disney’s Contemporary Resort once we arrived, leading to a temporary closure of the Resort Monorail line, too.

The EPCOT Monorail line appears to be running fine.

Ferryboat service remains available between Magic Kingdom and the Transportation and Ticket Center, as well as to nearby resorts.
