When it comes to dining at Disney World, there are so many different spots to try. But one park that always seems to struggle to provide great options is Magic Kingdom, specifically at the quick-service restaurants.

Well, we recently stopped by Pinocchio Village Haus in Magic Kingdom to try a few items, and now we’re bringing you our FULL review. Let’s see if this spot can redeem Magic Kingdom’s bad quick-service reputation and if it’s worth a visit on your next trip!

Atmosphere

Pinocchio Village Haus, unsurprisingly, is themed to Pinocchio! This restaurant is located in Fantasyland in Magic Kingdom, and it’s full of details and theming dedicated to Pinocchio. The exterior is designed to look like a building in the village.

Then, when you move inside, there are many paintings of scenes and characters from the movie.

The design of the interior is full of light and dark wood, making the restaurant look old and really lived in.

One of our favorite details has to be the large windows that let you look into “it’s a small world” and watch the ride go by while you eat your meal. You used to be able to hold up signs for riders to see in the window, but on our latest visit, Cast Members warned us these are discontinued…WOMP WOMP.

The details and design of this restaurant are beautiful and really immerse guests in the world of Pinocchio. 

And if you pay close attention, you can even spot a wishing book where guests can write down their very own wish!

But enough about the restaurant — what’s on the menu here?!

Menu

This menu has a selection of classic theme park food with some exciting specialty options. Starting with several featured offerings.

Moving on to the main entrees, featuring the iconic flatbreads.

You can also find a selection of sides, as well as a plant-based option.

There are also several kids’ meal options.

You can even find a special dessert and drink on the menu as well.

And now, on to the main event — the food!

Eats

First up, we grabbed the Tomato Basil Soup for $4.29. This is a classic tomato soup.

It was thick and creamy. And while this is not ideal on a hot day, it was very rich in flavor and seasoned well. For a side at a quick-service restaurant, we were surprised by how much we enjoyed this item. Overall, while this might be a skip in the Florida heat, we would definitely grab this again in the colder months!

We also tried the Chicken Parmesan Sandwich for $13.99. This is Chicken Strips, Marinara, and Mozzarella baked in a roll, served with French fries.

If you’re looking for a solid Chicken Parm, look elsewhere. There was far too much bread compared to the toppings, especially considering that the chicken tenders are also breaded. We wished there had been more marinara sauce to add more flavor and add in some much-needed acidity. We enjoyed the cheese on top that was melted nicely, gooey, and held the sandwich together well.

The tenders were crunchy but nothing out of the ordinary. If you really want something a little different than a classic theme-park meal, this is a good option, but overall, it was not anything special that we would suggest making a special trip to try.

Finally, we grabbed the Buffalo Chicken Flatbread for $13.29. This is a flatbread topped with Grilled Chicken, Mozzarella, Ranch, Buffalo Sauce, and Crumbled Ranch-flavored Tortilla Chips.

We actually really enjoyed this flatbread! It is more filling than you might expect, and could be split between two people. There was a lot of that pulled chicken, and it was coated with plenty of cheese and buffalo sauce. Everything was well balanced, and we would definitely try this again!

Nosh or Not

This Disney World restaurant is a must-visit if…

• You are looking for a Magic Kingdom restaurant with a lot of variety. There are several options on this menu, and if you are traveling with a big group, you should be able to find something for everyone.
• You are looking for a nice nostalgic Disney World spot to grab a meal. The design of this spot has not changed in years, making it feel very nostalgic of old Disney, which can be a really fun atmosphere to enjoy.
• You are looking for a quick and easy meal. This is a great option if all you want from your meal is to fuel you up on your Magic Kingdom day.

You should skip this Disney World spot if…

• You are looking for a quiet atmosphere. This spot is popular and therefore extremely loud. There are few outdoor spots to eat, but if you are inside, there is no avoiding the noise.
• You are not a fan of classic theme park food or flatbread. This makes up the majority of the menu, so if you are not a fan of this style of food, you should maybe eat somewhere else.
• You are looking for a relaxing meal. This is a quick-service, fast-dining experience where you grab your food and then are on your way. If you want more relaxing time and a break from your hectic Magic Kingdom day, we would suggest eating at a sit-down meal instead.

Overall

This is a decent quick-service restaurant in Magic Kingdom. When compared to the rest of Disney World, this food is okay, but when compared to the options just available at Magic Kingdom, it is above average. NO PUFFY PIZZA here!! The slightly different offerings are a nice change of pace, and if you just need a meal to eat quickly and then continue on with your Disney fun, this is a great option!
