Pirate’s Lair on Tom Sawyer Island at Disneyland has reopened after a brief refurbishment. The closure began on Monday, September 14 and went through Wednesday, September 16.

Pirate's Lair on Tom Sawyer Island at Disneyland has reopened after a brief refurbishment. The closure began on Monday, September 14 and went through Wednesday, September 16.

Guests can once again take rafts to and from Tom Sawyer Island. According to Cast Members, the closure was just for cleaning and polishing. We saw crews cleaning the docks on Monday.

Indeed, we didn’t notice any significant changes on the island.

The one-way Pontoon Bridge was closed on Thursday, September 17, with barriers and ropes blocking it. It may reopen in the next few days.

Pirate’s Lair on Tom Sawyer Island is the name given to the entire island, which is open from 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. most days.

This was the island’s second refurbishment of the year. A Mickey’s Park Rangers activity launched on the island in May.
