After two months with a revamped loading procedure, Alien Swirling Saucers at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is no longer assigning guests to specific numbered ride vehicles.
Alien Swirling Saucers Loading Rules

In July, Disney implemented a more orderly loading procedure for the Toy Story Land attraction. Cast Members assigned each waiting party a number. Guests then proceeded to the rocket ride vehicle displaying that corresponding number, as seen above.

The numbered stars still appear on the ground in the holding area before guests load the ride. Cast Members assign guests to these numbers but they no longer correspond to specific vehicles.

Numbers have been removed from the rockets. So guests can go back to choosing whatever rocket and alien they want (unless another guest gets there first).
The changes come as Disney prepares to introduce Lilypad to Alien Swirling Saucers. The Toy Story 5 character is already in place outside the ride and will soon offer a new soundtrack, plus activities for passerby.
