We’re less than two weeks away from the debut of Hurly-Burly at Disney’s BoardWalk, and the newest addition to the area is looking nearly ready for opening night. We stopped by the BoardWalk this morning for a look at the progress, and with its colorful exterior, marquee, awnings, and finishing details now in place, this new spot is REALLY starting to come together.

Hurly-Burly is set to open on October 1, 2026, bringing cocktails, bites, and live entertainment to the BoardWalk, with genres changing nightly. It’s taking over the former Jellyrolls location, and if you remember what the building looked like before, you might have to do a double take.

The exterior has been transformed with a bright turquoise color scheme accented by red awnings and crisp white trim. The large HURLY-BURLY marquee over the entrance is now fully installed, complete with individual bulbs that should look fantastic once the BoardWalk lights up at night. A smaller painted sign along the front advertises exactly what guests can expect inside: “Cocktails, Bites, Cabaret.”

There’s still some work happening around the building, as you can see from the construction barriers, equipment, and crews in our photos. But compared with earlier stages of the project, this morning’s view looks much more like finishing touches than major construction. Even from across Crescent Lake, that turquoise exterior stands out beautifully among the BoardWalk’s collection of colorful waterfront buildings.

I’m especially curious to see this one after dark. Between that giant illuminated marquee, the red awnings, and the BoardWalk setting, Hurly-Burly already has a wonderfully theatrical look that feels right at home here. The building has always occupied a prominent spot along the waterfront, and it’s nice to see so much personality returning to it.
With October 1 now less than two weeks away, we won’t have much longer to wait before guests can finally step inside. We’ll be keeping a close eye on Hurly-Burly as opening day approaches, but judging by what we saw this morning, they’re getting awfully close!
