The Skull Island: Reign of Kong single rider queue at Universal Islands of Adventure is no longer available, but there is still a way for single riders to enjoy a shorter wait time.

Skull Island: Reign of Kong Single Rider

Previously, Skull Island had a separate single rider queue that branched off from the main queue, shown below. When we spoke to team members at the attraction about the single rider option, they confirmed the single rider line is indeed indefinitely closed. This is despite the fact that the Universal Orlando Resort app still indicates an available single rider option; however, team mebers again confirmed the app was awaiting an update to reflect the change.

In lieu of a single rider queue, however, we were given a printed Single Attraction Pass instead. We could then present this ticket—which resembles a receipt with a QR code printed along the bottom—at the Skull Island Express queue to enter without paying. As the ticket states, it’s valid for one guest for one use at one location.

We used ours for Skull Island, but it can technically be used on most rides in Universal Studios Florida and Universal Islands of Adventure, except for Pteranodon Flyers, Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure, and Jurassic World VelociCoaster.

The Single Attraction Pass is similar to the Universal Express Single Attraction Access option introduced for a limited time last year. That was available for an additional cost at Skull Island and Revenge of the Mummy.

Skull Island: Reign of Kong reopened on Friday with the giant King Kong animatronic missing. Universal Orlando confirmed the animatronic was damaged during “routine maintenance.”
