At D23 in August, Disney announced that the fan-favorite “Magic Happens” parade would return to Disneyland in 2027, and the floats are already on the move.
‘Magic Happens’ Parade Floats Moved to Disneyland Backstage
Disney Parks shared a video on their official accounts, set to the titular song “Magic Happens,” showing parade support Cast Members directing the parade floats out of the warehouse and onto the streets of Anaheim.
A time-lapse shows the Coco float rolling down the road towards Cast Place.
Other floats on the move include the lead unit, made to resemble Mickey’s Sorcerer Hat, Cinderella’s pumpkin, and Tiana’s bayou.
A final shot shows the Coco float rolling up to a backstage security gate in line behind the other floats, with The Sword in the Stone float at the front of the line.
‘Magic Happens’
The “Magic Happens” parade made its debut at Disneyland Park on February 28, 2020, but was suspended shortly after due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The parade returned in February 2023 as part of the Disney 100 Years of Wonder celebration.
It then closed in October of 2023, only to return in February of 2024, but ended its 2024 run early amid entertainment budget cuts at the resort.
Along with “Magic Happens,” two other fan-favorite entertainment offerings are coming back to Disneyland next year: the “Remember…Dreams Come True” 50th anniversary fireworks spectacular and the original version of California Adventure’s signature show World of Color.
