After closing for refurbishment with no announced reopening date, Coral Reef Restaurant is now showing as opening soon.

Coral Reef Restaurant Reopening Date

Coral Reef Restaurant at EPCOT closed on September 8, when rolling planters went up around the entrance to the signature dining experience, which is located next to The Seas with Nemo & Friends pavilion.

According to the Walt Disney World website, the Coral Reef Restaurant will reopen for dinner service on September 29. While the page itself still says “expected to reopen later this year,” the calendar reveals reservation availability beginning that Tuesday:

Coral Reef Restaurant ended its lunch service early this year. The “underwater” restaurant features Florida Coastal Cuisine with “ocean-fresh specialties and other classic favorites crafted with Florida flair”:

Marvel at the multicolored magnificence of our living coral reef—all while you dine! Panoramic windows give every table an insider view into the awesome, underwater world of The Seas with Nemo & Friends.

The Seas is one of the largest man-made ocean environments on the planet, and holds enough water to fill 54 Olympic-sized swimming pools! The meticulously crafted habitat has been designed by marine scientists to enrich the lives of approximately 2,000 sea creatures—more than 60 aquatic species!—that call The Seas home.

As you dine, be sure to look for sharks, sea turtles and rays as they swim in this wondrous coral reef.
