Do you remember the 21st night of September? Because it’s time to celebrate over at EPCOT!

Every year on September 21st, EPCOT plays the song “September” all day long at Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. It’s an awesome tradition, and today we visited to check out all the fun and see if the crowds showed up. Spoiler Alert: they did!
One of the best parts about riding Cosmic Rewind is the songs that play on the ride. There is a selection of six songs that can play, and each time you ride, one of them is randomly chosen.
The line is already long
Many people have the goal of getting all six of the songs, which are:
- “September”
- “Disco Inferno”
- “Conga”
- “Everybody Wants to Rule the World”
- “I Ran”
- “One Way or Another”
And if you only have “September” left, or it’s just your favorite, today is the perfect time to ride. The iconic opening line of the song goes, “Do you remember the 21st night of September?” and, as a fun tradition, “September” will be the only song to play at Cosmic Rewind today, September 21st! When we got to the ride this morning, the crowds were already showing up and getting in line.

In fact, by 9:30 this morning, the line was already at 140 minutes, which is over a two-hour wait. In addition to the song playing on the ride, we also spotted a DJ outside the attraction playing Star Lord’s playlist. We even got to see Star Lord himself walking around and interacting with guests.

In years past, this has always been a very popular day to visit EPCOT and ride this attraction, so these higher crowds are not surprising. The wait time remained high throughout the morning and, as of 1:30 PM, only dropped slightly to 125 minutes.

In addition to all the entertainment, there is also a specialty drink for the celebrations called the Supernova Sip available for $6.49. This is a lemonade with spicy hot honey syrup, edible glitter, topped with cotton candy. You can also grab it with bourbon for $17. But we tried the nonalcoholic version.

This drink was very interesting and was an odd combination of both spicy and refreshing. The spice does not burn your lips but rather has a pleasant burn as you drink. It is not overpowering, but if you do not like spice, we would suggest avoiding this one.

The lemonade itself was not too sour and added a nice sweetness against the spice. The design of this drink is very cute, and the addition of the cotton candy and the edible glitter was a very fun touch.

If you are spice-averse at all, you should probably skip this one, and we think it could be too spicy for kids. But if you love spice, are looking for something unique, and want to celebrate September 21st in style, this is a really fun drink!
