Construction walls and scrim have been installed outside one of the gift shops at Islands of Adventure. We’re not sure what work is occurring here.

Islands of Adventure Trading Company Construction Walls

The Islands of Adventure Trading Company is an exploration-themed shop located at Universal Orlando Resort that sells apparel, jewelry, toys, and theme park merchandise. New props were added to the shop last year, as well as some references to the now-demolished Poseidon’s Fury.

During our latest visit to the shop, though, we noticed brown construction walls were erected along one side of the shop outside. Beige scrim peeks above the top, and “Pardon our dust” signs have been installed on the walls.

At the time of this writing, the shop is still open and operational as normal. Universal has not officially announced a reason for the construction walls and scrim.
