It always happens around this time of the year. Disney starts raising prices on just about everything, including Disney World and Disneyland park tickets, Disney World Annual Passes, Disneyland Magic Key Passes, food, drinks, and more. We usually know to expect price increases with the parks around the beginning of October.

Well, ahead of all those price increases this year, Disney is also raising prices for its streaming services, so if you’re subscribed to Disney+ or any of its bundles, it’s about to get pricier, according to Deadline.
The price for most Disney+ streaming bundles just got pricier. If you have a Disney+ Premium or Hulu+ Premium individual plan, the price is going up to $21.49 per month, which is $2.50 more than what it was previously. If you have a subscription to the individual ad-supported plans, the price for each is going up to $12.49, up 50 cents.

If you have the ad-free Disney+ and Hulu bundle, it’s going up $2 per month to $21.99. However, the ad-supported bundle will stay at the same price at $12.99. The Disney+, Hulu, ESPN Bundle with ads will go up by $2 to $21.99 per month. The ad-free Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN Premium Select Bundle has increased by $3 to $32.99. Finally, the Disney+, Hulu, ESPN Unlimited Bundle with ads will remain at $35.99. The ad-free Premium Unlimited Bundle will also stay the same at $44.99.

Disney+ isn’t alone in raising its prices for streaming. Other streamers have also steadily been increasing prices over the past few years, including Apple TV and Peacock. However, most are now offering cheaper ad-supported plans for those subscribers who want to pay less. There’s also a trend towards bundling, which has been criticized by some consumers as a step backward, as streaming bundling seems to be moving the industry back to the outdated cable television model.
Whatever the case, streaming is getting more expensive, and we’ll keep an eye out for more increases, so stay tuned to DFB for more.
