Marvel’s Avengers: Endgame returned to theatres on September 25 in an Encore re-release and has now crossed the $2.8 billion mark at the global box office.

The Encore presentation featured an exclusive preview of Marvel Studios’ highly anticipated Avengers: Doomsday, which is set to arrive in theatres December 18.

Avengers: Endgame Encore re-release is now just $120 million shy of surpassing James Cameron’s original Avatar, which grossed $2.92 billion worldwide.
