Photographer @bioreconstruct has shared new photos on X of the ride vehicle clearance testing occurring on the new Fast & Furious coaster at Universal Orlando Resort.

Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift Clearance Testing

Clearance testing was first being set-up at the ride last week, with more photos of the testing shared a few days later.

As shown in this photo taken by @bioreconstruct, the ride car has four seats, but three more cars will be attached to create a full train. The frame around the car is for envelope testing, to ensure there’s enough clearance for guests’ heads and arms. The frame also represents the car when turned at a 90° angle.

Bioreconstruct notes that the car, seen at left, is currently a very short distance outside the mid-course brake run. This photo was taken from CityWalk at Universal Orlando Resort.

The green line in this photo is where the pull test car has traveled so far along the track. The car is likely halfway through the ride based on how much track there is left to cover.

Fast and Furious: Hollywood Drift replaces Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit at Universal Studios Florida and is expected to open in 2027.
