If you like Disney and you like coffee, you’re definitely in the right place! As a writer for DFB, I have the privilege of working from home. And living close to Disney World gives me another privilege on top of that — working from the resorts!

I’ve decided that I’m going to be working from EVERY Disney World resort over the next couple of months to find out which one is the best to work from based on atmosphere, space, and outlet availability, and, of course, coffee! We’re starting this series off at my FAVORITE hotel — Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort.

Coronado Springs is one of Disney World’s Moderate Resorts and is located closest to Animal Kingdom. The resort has a Latin influence with a blend of Spanish, Mexican, and Southwest American cultures that you’ll see in the hotel’s decor and architecture. Here, you’ll also find several dining locations, including quick-service restaurants, lounges, a cafe, and table-service restaurants.

Coffee – 5/10

For my coffee, I decided to grab the viral Biscoff Latte from Cafe Rix and (don’t come for me) I was NOT a fan. This drink is made with three shots of espresso, milk of your choice, and cookie butter syrup. The cup is HEAVILY lined with Biscoff spread, and the coffee is topped with cold foam, caramel drizzle, and Biscoff Cookie Crumbles.

I am devastated because I was SO excited to try this! I love my coffee sweeter and am a big fan of cookie butter, but this just didn’t do it for me. It was TOO sweet. The one thing I did enjoy about this coffee, however, was the cookie crumbles on top — they added a nice crunch to the drink, and I found that to be delicious! Unfortunately, other than that, it was disappointing. The longer I drank it, the less I liked it. It basically tasted like I was drinking a sweet cup of milk — there was absolutely zero coffee flavor.

And this confused me when I asked another guest what they thought about this coffee because they mentioned that theirs tasted like cold brew with no sweetness! For $10, I’d recommend passing and getting something else because with the inconsistency, you don’t know if you’d get something sweet or something bitter.

Atmosphere – 8/10

One of the reasons why this resort is my favorite is because of the atmosphere — the lighting, the music, the restaurants… it just does it all for me! The only reason I’m taking off points for atmosphere is because of the music volume in some areas. In the tower outside of Barcelona Lounge, it can get quite noisy to the point where you can barely hear the music. And because of that noise, I recommend bringing headphones so you can focus since it does get pretty loud with all of the guests talking.

Space – 10/10

During my workday here, I decided to test out two spaces: outside of Barcelona Lounge and in the area between Gran Destino Tower and the Convention Center right outside the gift shop. Both areas had an ample amount of seating and outlets, so if your computer needs to be charged, there’s almost a guarantee you’ll find an outlet to plug your charger into. The chargers are also conveniently located near the tables and chairs, so you don’t even need to move or wait for your computer to charge — you can just continue working!

And when I say there’s plenty of seating, there’s PLENTY of seating. There is a whole long hallway between the gift shop and the main building with a lot of couches, chairs, and tables. When I went to work, there were so many other people working there too, which just goes to show how popular this resort is for working from home.

Overall – 7/10

Based on the coffee I had, the atmosphere, and the space, Coronado Springs gets a 7/10 when it comes to working from home at the Disney resorts. If the coffee was better, my rating would have been WAY higher, but alas, I’ve had better coffee on property. But when it comes to the atmosphere and space, Coronado Springs is a win in my books!
