It’s not every day you get stuck on a boat in the jungle in the middle of Disneyland. But that’s exactly what happened to some guests on a recent Jungle Cruise sailing. A boat derailed, forcing the guests onboard to climb on another one.

Jungle Cruise Boat Derails and Gets Stuck

Paige Bryant shared clips from the incident on Instagram, writing in her caption, “Somehow the boat we had just boarded derailed as soon as we left the dock. They attempted to tow us, but it didn’t work so we ended up having to climb off of our boat onto another boat.”

After safely getting onto another boat, guests then got to experience the ride as normal.

Jungle Cruise is not on a traditional rail or track, but moves through water channels thanks to propulsion mechanisms and manual steering by a skipper. The boat probably “derailed” out of guide rails near the dock and got stuck.

Bryant added, “The cast members and crew were all awesome and handled the situation very well.” The affected guests received a free Lightning Lane pass for their troubles.

It’s not the worst problem a Jungle Cruise boat has experienced. Back in 2020, a boat sunk on the Magic Kingdom version of the ride.
