Happy 55th birthday, Walt Disney World! October 1, 2026 officially marks 55 years since Walt Disney World welcomed its first guests in 1971, and a new merchandise collection has arrived to celebrate.
Now available at Magic Kingdom‘s Emporium, the new collection is serving a heavy dose of nostalgia, using a retro red, white, light blue and navy color palette throughout. Mickey Mouse appears across the collection wearing a vintage Main Street U.S.A.-style outfit with striped pants, bow tie, and boater hat.
The Mickey Mouse Plush ($39.99) has Mickey dressed for the occasion and holding his own 55th anniversary pennant. There’s also a Felt Pennant ($14.99), Auto Magnet ($11.99) and Charm Keychain ($14.99) featuring the anniversary logo and icons representing all four Walt Disney World theme parks.
The Throw Blanket ($69.99) also has a vintage look with Mickey, the four park icons and 55th anniversary artwork.
Accessories include a Baseball Hat ($32.99), Backpack ($59.99) and Minnie Mouse Ear Headband ($36.99). The backpack and ears feature an all-over pattern filled with references to the four parks, including Cinderella Castle, Spaceship Earth, the Hollywood Tower Hotel and Tree of Life. Flip the ears around and you’ll find a fireworks design on the back.
There’s a Pouch Charm ($16.99) featuring “The Vacation Kingdom of the World,” a callback to Walt Disney World’s early marketing.
55th Anniversary Apparel
One of my favorite pieces is the Adult Front & Back Opening Day Attractions/Mickey Graphic T-Shirt ($39.99). Mickey appears with Cinderella Castle on the front, while the back lists Magic Kingdom attractions from the park’s opening day. There are some great extinct attraction references here, including Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, and the Mickey Mouse Revue.
The collection also includes an Adult Red Embroidered Mickey T-Shirt ($39.99) and matching Youth Red Embroidered Mickey T-Shirt ($29.99).
For cooler weather, there’s a Youth Light Blue Hooded Zip-Up Sweatshirt ($49.99), Adult Blue Hooded Sweatshirt ($69.99) and Adult White Hooded Zip-Up Sweatshirt ($69.99). The designs continue the retro celebration with Mickey and park icons, while the white hoodie features Mickey and the gang dressed to represent the different lands of Magic Kingdom.
